This Florida Bar President suggest ways of raising money for legal funding. She talks about how the percentage is low for Interest on Trust Account (IOTA) program on account of the economy. She mentions how money has been raised such as The Trial Lawyers Section donated $75,000 to (The Florida Bar Foundation) and The Family Law Section donated $75,000 and The Real Property Section members made donations and they waived sponsorship fees and refunded some sponsorship fees to the foundation, which totaled over $80,000 but this is not nearly enough and these are not the answers. She believes that the businesses need to get involved because if they can make someone more employable this is good for the whole community and the foreclosures settlements can help expecting 8.4 billion dollars by foreclosure abuse in Florida. She also believed that educating the public on merit retention elections for judges was a big help. She uses facebook and twitter and other social media to focus on the education for people to see a report on the merit retention which shows statistics and data and more information and she be lives this will make a difference on how funding ought to be.
